First wedding cake I've made in over a year. 14 layers baked, 6 more to go. Just starting the icing for it all. Know how much icing 14 layers of wedding cake takes? Try THIRTY cups of icing. That's a lot of butter. It's a lot of everything, really. I only have to do 14 layers worth of icing because 6 layers are German Chocolate. Haven't even started that topping yet.
Thankfully, Mom came over to help me today, and between us we're rocking and rolling this thing out.
Keep your fingers crossed and pray I make it to the ceremony without incident!
