Don't say I didn't warn you

I told you I was crazy. At least that's what I hear. You can just call me 'Bubba'.

Today is Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. It just brings out the kid in all of us, and it's the same month as my birthday, so I grew up with plenty of pumpkin-themed parties! Not to mention, it is my lovely niece Abbie's birthday. She's 13! I can hardly believe how fast she's growing up.

So, I decided to dress up today - I had to do something with the belly, of course. You just can't ignore that thing at this point! So, I decided to portray Larry the Cable Guy, or at least one of his close cousins. The reactions have been great. Chris couldn't even bring himself to look at me in this outfit - it freaks him out too much. At work, they thought it was hysterical (especially with the added root 'beer' in a brown bag, skoal can in my pocket and bubba teeth on)! When I stopped this morning to pick up the root beer, at the local QT, I don't think they got the joke... in fact, I looked a lot many of the patrons on their way out for a weekend hunting trip!

What's the point if you can't laugh at yourself, anyway?

Might as well start somewhere...

I've been toying with the idea of a blog for awhile now. We'll see how this goes. There are so many fascinating blogs that I like to catch up on from time to time - a love hearing about friends', family's, and even strangers' accounts of their lives. Some of the most interesting reading I've ever done, really.

With so much going on in our lives right now, I thought this might be a good way to keep my family and friends updated, and a way for me to remember what this time was like. Also, with our new baby girl (we'll just call her "Lula Belle" for now) on the way, it will be something for her to look back on one day and laugh and laugh at her crazy mama!
