This past weekend Chris, Hayden and I were running errands and when we got to Lowe's, instead of lugging Hayden in her carseat and plopping it up into one of the carts, we pulled her out and carried her with us, something I've done increasingly as the weight of her in the carseat has grown to the point that I've begun considering the purchase of a small lift to avoid having to personally
raise her seat up and out of my incredibly TALL car myself (yes, I know it's really a truck. I don't care. It has 4 doors and seating for 5. I call it a car). This time, though, we added a twist. We let her sit in one of the cart seats, tucked in there with her diaper bag and a blanket (because although she sits up really well now, she still has moments where she forgets she's upright and decides to
leeeaaan one direction or another or gets REALLY excited about something and
flings herself backwards in a grand display of enthusiasm
).
She LOVED it!!!! She had a blast watching everything and zipping around the store, and clung to the handle bar for most of the trip, sitting up (as her daddy says) like she has good sense! I got a picture from a subsequent trip to Kroger, and as you can tell, she's ready to
move!Happy Cruising!
